A list of hotlines, websites, podcasts, playlists, videos and books to help lighten the weight of seasonal depression and pandemic anxiety.
HOTLINES
- Crisis Text Line— Text HOME to 741741 (U.S. and Canada) to text a crisis counselor. 24/7 FREE support at your fingertips.
- National Suicide Prevention Lifeline — 1–800–273–8255 — Free and confidential support.
- Trans Lifeline— 877–565–8860 — Trans Lifeline is a trans-led organization that connects trans people to the community, support, and resources they need to survive and thrive.
- LGBT National Hotline — 888–843–4564 — A safe space for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people over 25 yrs old.
- LGBT National Youth Talk Line — 800–246–7743 — A safe space for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people 25 yrs old and younger.
- The Trevor Project — 1–866–488–7386 — Suicide prevention and crisis intervention for LGBTQ youth between the ages of 13 and 24.
- Strong Hearts Helpline — 1–844–762–8483 — A confidential and anonymous culturally-appropriate domestic violence and dating violence helpline for Native Americans.

- Mental Health America — Great information to learn about your mental health and find help.
- To Write Love On Her Arms — A community dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.
- National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network — A healing justice organization committed to transforming mental health for queer and trans people of color.
- Better Help — Global remote counseling service.
- Open Path — In-person and remote psychotherapy sessions between $30 and $60.
- Talkspace — Remote therapy. Plans start at $65 a week.
- Therapy for Black Girls — Therapist directory. Also has a free podcast, a blog and a community membership plan.
- Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance — Education, tools, peer support and a wealth of inspiring stories to help your wellness path.
- We R Native —Health resources for Native youth by Native youth, promoting holistic health and positive growth in local communities and nation at large.
- The Happy Hippie Foundation — Fighting injustice facing homeless youth, LGBTQ youth and other vulnerable populations.
- The Loveland Foundation — Free therapy for communities of color — particularly black women and girls. Application process to apply for fund.
- Evryman — A community of men creating a dialogue around mental health — videos, podcasts and events to browse on their website.
- Half of Us — Site refers high school and college students to resources where they can find help.
- Mental Health America — Promoting mental health awareness and preventing mental illness through advocacy, education, research and services.
- Mental Health Connect — Provides community-based resources, support and education to improve access to mental health services and to connect individuals and families with the services they need.
